Ireland’s first ever national survey of patients’ experience in hospital launched

Official launch of the National Patient Experience Survey Programme

The first ever National Patient Experience Survey was launched on the 5th of April 2017 by Minister for Health Simon Harris TD at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital. This survey, which is the first of its kind in Ireland gives patients an opportunity to describe their experiences in order for this information to be used to improve our health service. The event was chaired by Sheila O’Malley (HIQA Board).

Tony O’Brien, Director General (HSE), Rachel Flynn, Director of Health Information and Standards (HIQA) and Brigid Doherty (Patient Advocate with Patient Focus) also spoke at the event.
