Almost 14,000 hospital patients participated in the first ever National Patient Experience Survey, confirms HIQA’s Rachel Flynn, who heads up the survey team. This translates as a response rate of 51%.
This May, the National Patient Experience Survey team has been touring the country, visiting all 40 public hospitals participating in the survey. The team has been meeting staff, volunteers and patients and answering any questions they have about the survey, which runs until the end of May.
Throughout January and February 2017, the National Patient Experience Survey team travelled across the country as part of its hospital information road show.
